Q&A with Eileen Ani
Where are you from and what have you done before Yesware?
I’m originally from Franklin, MA, went to college in Waltham, and then spent some time traveling (which included a stint working as a security guard in a Scottish art museum). After coming back to Boston, I worked at an art gallery before transitioning into the world of tech startups, where I’ve been doing design and front-end development for over a year.
How did you grow into a Design role?
Working at a small art gallery after college let me explore a bunch of useful skills in running a small, new business. When you’re in that environment, you want to be able to do everything — which is why I taught myself basic front-end coding (so I could update and expand the website), and dabbled in design on the website and for different marketing materials. This is also when I started studying Graphic Design at Mass Art.
Why did you think that Yesware would be a good fit for you?
Yesware is made up of good people who are working towards something they believe in. It’s a great atmosphere to apply skills and learn a bunch of new ones at the same time.
What are you most excited to accomplish in your first 100 days at Yesware?
I’m looking forward to working on the design and branding as Yesware grows as a company. I’m also excited to be able to dive into development and learn from a great engineering team.
