September is the Coolest Month for Yesware

This month is going to be a big one for us… we’ve been invited to demo and present at three awesome Boston-area startup fests. Plus, the great folks at the New York Games Conference have asked me to moderate a killer panel called ” The Social Factor – Building a Community around Games.” And at the end of the month, we have a very special announcement planned. Here are the details:

September 1: Tech Cocktail Boston

We’re joining 20 other local startups at Microsoft NERD in Cambridge MA for a demo-fest that’s got to be seen to be believed. The organizers expect 400+ people in a beautiful space overlooking the Charles. This will be the first time we show our Gmail Analytics feature within Yesware, and we’ll be surveying attendees on the next feature they want to see from us. September 13: WebInno

A great way to kick off the FutureM week is to attend the quarterly Web Innovators event at the Sonesta Hotel in Cambridge. We’ve been invited to be a “Main Dish” speaker along with SnapApp and SocMetrics, which means we get to show Yesware off to the assembled folks. There are already 600+ registered, so that should be fun. Along with three Main Dish speakers, five other companies are invited to the demo pavilion, so you’ll have a chance to get your hands on some great tech and talk with some inspiring startups. September 14: MassInno

The very next night out in Waltham, Bobbie Carleton and her crack team are hosting a Massachusetts Innovation Night! This is another incredible event hosting a dozen startups from across the state. Yesware will be showing our latest and greatest, so if you can’t make it in to Cambridge the night before, or you want to see and meet more great people, please come to MassInno. September 22: New York Games Conference

For many years before starting Yesware, I was a salesperson in the videogames industry. Cashman and I started Wireless Gaming Review back in 2001 based on the incredibly far fetched idea that people would play videogames on their mobile phone! We had a great exit from that business to CNET in 2003, but we’ve both stayed connected to the industry. Just recently, my old friends Ned Sherman and Joachim Baage invited me to reprise past moderating efforts with their session “The Social Factor – Building a Community around Games.” Since building a startup is all about building a community, and since the panelists are some of my favorite people in the industry, I happily accepted. I hope you have a chance to come to New York for the 4th version of this excellent conference.
